History

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) opened its first Australian branch in Melbourne on 1st July 1872, followed by its second in Sydney on 15th April 1875.  BNZA is credited with having the oldest continuous name in Australian banking.

Other than the Melbourne and Sydney offices, BNZA also currently has offices in Brisbane (first opened November 1976) and Perth (first opened October 1981).
